A bit about our process. . .

Every finished piece of furniture in our inventory started its life as a seed. A tree grew from this seed and flourished for a hundred years. The tree dies, it falls and it comes into our hands.

From here, we selectively cut it into segments, each segment selected for its beauty and uniqueness.

Each segment is then put on our bandsaw and cut into slabs which are placed aside for 6 months to 3 years depending on the moisture content.

Once dry, the slabs are carefully looked over, as the inspiration for each piece comes directly from the wood. Once an idea forms, the slabs are planed to thickness and sanded to a perfectly smooth finish.

Here the actual work begins, each piece is crafted from this raw wood by hand, using techniques used for centuries. Exacting attention is paid to each and every detail.

Once completed, each piece is oiled with 10-20 coats of a specially formulated tung oil mixture.

And finally, the piece that started as a seed, and lived for a hundred years, makes it into your home, and into your family where it will live on for generations to come.
