The lumber in this piece was carefully selected for its plethora of beautiful knots. The grain around the knots in Walnut is some of the most impressive in the whole tree.

This is a traditional Walnut wine rack with a bit of a twist. The trend with walnut is to eliminate the sapwood and focus on the dark chocolate heartwood. I believe that the sapwood can be just as striking!
